One of the primary things to contemplate is however seriously are you taking your on-line business and does one have a business plan?
If you’re an oversized company, what half will {the on-line|the web|the net} store play in your overall business strategy? however will it got to integrate together with your business systems? does one have a fanatical online team that may take care of and manage the site?
If you’re alittle enterpriser, wherever ar you designing on taking your business in terms of growth within the short and long term?
Is this about to be your main supply of financial gain or simply one thing you are doing on the facet within the evenings and weekends?
Do you have the required skills to run the net store yourself or are you able to afford to rent somebody to assist you?
And last however not least, ar you ready to speculate seriously and perceive that, whereas the computer code is FREE the services around it should return at premium price.
Budget-:
Everyone features a budget Associate in Nursingd it s rare that you ll have an unlimited pool of cash for your e-commerce web site.
Given that the entry price with Magento is free, you d assume that your cash will go way. However, shortly it becomes clear that Magento development typically carries high(er) prices. sensible developers don’t seem to be straightforward to search out and whereas you’ll take your risks with outsourcing your project on numerous freelancer sites, you will get sidetracked with forever making an attempt to search out the most effective deal or questioning UN agency to trust, or worse, get a 0.5 finished web site with major problems once you spent your cash.
So wherever will your budget go once the computer code is free?
Many people use the net to search out valuable info on a spread of various subjects. Through having data and knowledge in your trade, {you will|you’ll|you’ll be able to} offer relevant recommendation that individuals can use for themselves. By sharing this data it will drive folks to seem at your ecommerce web site and even consider your ecommerce web log for additional recommendation. This traffic to the location has a lot of likelihood of conversion success as users have already looked for precisely what they’re probing for and once disbursement time reading the ecommerce article can then proceed to seem at the services out there.
Clarify your Navigation Paths-:
If you have got too several classes, this may be a tough task. However, fly-out menus (that fly out once you mouse over them) ar a good thanks to keep your page from obtaining too untidy whereas giving the patron the chance to access any class page at any time.
Don t get wedged in obtaining too inventive regarding however you style the class and alternative direction elements; shoppers can invariably many thanks through higher conversion rates once you create utility a priority.
When customers are attempting to go looking for what they need on your ecommerce web site, having the ability to filter their choices can save them lots of your time and energy. this is often significantly vital once it involves filler, for things like garments. Customers hate finding that “perfect” piece of attire, solely to find you do not carry it in their size.
One of the most important mistakes I created running my initial ecommerce store wasn’t keeping on prime of the stock. For SEO functions it’s higher to stay the merchandise on the location rather than removing it and having to feature it once more. If a product is out of stock that has to be crystal clear. Otherwise, like me, your consumer are emailing angry customers apologising regarding the actual fact you have got to cancel their orde
For larger web site there’s a decent likelihood there’ll be lots of classes. However, fly-out or super menus (the drop menus once you hover over them) ar a good thanks to keep your page from obtaining too untidy while making most accessibility throughout the location.
The key to fly-out menus is being straightforward and effective. making an attempt to be too elaborate defeats the full purpose of constructing the location easier to navigate. within the example on top of, the fly out menu might not be the most effective designed one you’ll bump into, however it will precisely what it desires with the minimum quantity of area preoccupied.
Using breadcrumbs is additionally key to creating the navigation of your web site a swish method for a user.

Recalled pet food found to contain rat poison
Friday, March 23, 2007
In a press release earlier today, New York State Agriculture Commissioner Patrick Hooker, along with Dean of Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine Donald F. Smith, confirmed that scientists at the New York State Food Laboratory identified Aminopterin as a toxin present in cat food samples from Menu Foods.
Menu Foods is the manufacturer of several brands of cat and dog food subject to a March 16, 2007 recall.
Aminopterin is a drug used in chemotherapy for its immunosuppressive properties and, in some areas outside the US, as a rat poison. Earlier reports stated that wheat gluten was a factor being investigated, and officials now state that the toxin would have come from Chinese wheat used in the pet food, where it is used for pest control. Investigators will not say that this is the only contaminant found in the recalled food, but knowing the identity of the toxin should assist veterinarians treating affected animals.
The Food Laboratory tested samples of cat food received from a toxicologist at the New York State Animal Health Diagnostic Center at Cornell University. The samples were found to contain the rodenticide at levels of at least 40 parts per million.
Commissioner Hooker stated, “We are pleased that the expertise of our New York State Food Laboratory was able to contribute to identifying the agent that caused numerous illnesses and deaths in dogs and cats across the nation.”
The press release suggests Aminopterin, a derivative of folic acid, can cause cancer and birth defects in humans and can cause kidney damage in dogs and cats. Aminopterin is not permitted for use in the United States.
The New York State Food Laboratory is part of the Federal Food Emergency Response Network (FERN) and as such, is capable of running a number of unique poison/toxin tests on food, including the test that identified Aminopterin.
Bomb blasts near Greek Minister’s house
Tuesday, May 30, 2006
A bomb exploded near the house of the Greek Culture Minister,Georgios Voulgarakis, in Lycabettus Hill, Athens, wrecking a number of cars.
The device, which the police said consisted of 2-3 kg (4-7lb) of dynamite, had been placed on a bike left between two cars.
The explosion at 7:42am (GMT +2), close to the home of Minister Voulgarakis, is the second time the former Minister for Public Order has been the target of a bomb attack.
While the perpertrators are not yet known, Giorgos Voulgarakis, who had been receiving death threats, is unpopular with leftist parties over questions of immigration.
A trained dog of a Greek anti-terrorist unit had been sniffing around the area of the Minister’s home each morning. The September 2003 attack nearly burned down his house.
Two primary schools and a kindergarten nearby were slightly damaged but there were no reported injuries.
As bomb technicians searched the school grounds, frantic parents rushed to take their children home.
The leftist “Epanastatikos Laekos Agonas”(Revolutionary popular rally), is the group which some Greek media have accused for today’s bomb attack. No official claim of responsibility has yet been made and the police investigation continues.
All the Greek parties, including the major opposition party, PASOK; the Communist Party (KKE), Synaspismos and LAOS parties, have strongly condemned the terrorist attack.
Transgender woman dies after beating in Harlem, New York
Saturday, August 24, 2013
A transgender woman attacked in Harlem, New York last week died on Thursday after being declared brain dead and taken off life support. Police are treating the death of Islan Nettles, 21, as a hate crime.
| They were called faggots, they were called he-shes, she-males, things of that nature | ||
Nettles was walking with transgender friends early on August 17 when they met a group of men opposite a local police building. Police say a fight ensued after the men discovered the group was transgender and local man Paris Wilson, 20, was arrested at the scene.
Wilson was charged by prosecutors in Manhattan with assault and harassment. Prosecutors say more serious charges could be brought after police received allegations homophobic language was used, with a hate crimes team now investigating. The death has been ruled a homicide and a spokeswoman for the New York City medical examiner’s office said Nettles was killed by “blunt impact head injuries”.
The criminal complaint Wilson presently faces says a police officer found Nettles “unconscious on the ground with a swollen shut eye and blood on her face”. Wilson is accused of punching Nettles to the ground and then repeatedly hitting her while she lay there.
| Fashion became a definite decision for my life after my first show with my hand designed garments in high school | ||
Nettles was interested in a fashion career, working as an intern for local fashion firm Ay’Medici. “Fashion became a definite decision for my life after my first show with my hand designed garments in highschool”, she wrote on LinkedIn, where she described herself as “anti-violence”. She has previously instructed fashion at Harlem Children’s Zone, undertaking studies at New York College of Technology and the Bread and Roses Integrated Arts High School.
Her mother, Dolores Nettles, told press Nettles and her friends were subject to transphobic insults. “They were called faggots, they were called he-shes, she-males, things of that nature,” she said.
Daniel L. Squadron of the New York State Senate said yesterday in a statement “Islan was 21 years old — 21 years old. And her life and future were stolen from her. Let’s be clear: intolerance, discrimination and hate have no place in New York or anywhere.” He called for the passage of a related bill he supports, the Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act.
Wilson is presently free on bail, with a court hearing scheduled for October 4.

Sports bettinghave been a part of human culture on every continent on Earth. Placing a wager on the outcome of a game has been a part of sports life. There is not a single sport you can name that doesn’t have some kind of betting audience. For many peoplesports bettingis a harmful way to add excitement to your favorite sports. For some people, sports betting is more than just a way to spice up a favorite past time; it is big business. All over the world, bets are placed on basketball, horse racing, football, soccer, baseball, and every other sport you can name. Some people win big, some people win consistently and others consider sports betting as their permanent source of income. One of the biggest questions surrounding sports betting is whether or not the activity is legal. The fact is that in many parts of the world, sports betting is legal. Most of Europe and Asia regulate sports betting quite heavily, but bettors can place their wagers without fear of legal reprisals. North America is a different story. In Canada and the United States, wagering on sports is only actually allowed in four states: Nevada, Delaware, Montana, and Oregon. Of these, only Nevada actually allows sports gambling outfits to operate. Now, this does not necessarily mean that North Americans are out of luck if they want to wager on a game. The Internet has opened up a wide range of opportunities for residents west of the Atlantic to places bets on sports, although they must do so through books operated in an area where sports gambling are legal. Even so, the status of those operations is a little bit shady.Let’s take a deeper look at what sports betting is all about and how does it workHow does sports betting work? Heres how. Official sports bets, those which take place through bookies rather than buddies, are carefully measured odds offered by shrewd business number crunchers. The sports books offer several different kinds of bets, all of which are designed so that the book itself makes a profit no matter the outcome of the event. That profit is known as the vigorish (vig for short). It’s usually around $10, paid by the person who loses the wager.Generally, bettors will select one of two options when wagering on a sports event. The first is the money line, in which a straight up win by the team picked will result in money returned to the bettor. They look like this, in a baseball game:Chicago White Sox -200New York Yankees +150That example tells us two things. First of all, the White Sox are the favorites. That’s indicated by the negative sign. If you bet the Sox, then you have to put down $200 in order to win $100. That’s the second thing the example shows us; the amounts indicate how much you win if the team you select comes out on top. For the Yankees, the underdogs, you only have to pay $150 to get a shot at that hundred bucks. But, of course, the Yankees will have to win (Just kidding because Im a Yankee fan)!So there you have it, sports betting in a nutshell. I hope that youve learned a lot.
Wikinews interviews India’s first female Paralympic medalist Deepa Malik
Wednesday, September 14, 2016
Wikinews on Sunday interviewed Deepa Malik, India’s first female Paralympic medalist, who won the silver medal in the Women’s Shot Put F53 event finals, at the 2016 Summer Paralympics being held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Malik lost the gold medal to Bahrain’s Fatema Nedham, who had the best throw 4.76 metres, setting a new regional record in paralympic women’s shot put.
Arriving in Rio, Malik had initial trouble due to the airline losing her luggage; it didn’t all arrive until three days later: clothes, opening ceremony outfit and equipment including competition belts.
In early August there was a possibly that Malik might lose her spot on the Indian team going to Rio, with fellow female para athlete Karam Jyoti challenging Malik’s selection and the Sport’s Authority of Indian’s selection process at the High Court of Delhi. The high court ruled against the plaintiff.
Both of these events occurred against the wider backdrop of the Paralympic Committee of India being suspended by the International Paralympic Committee. The Sports Authority of India took final authority over the Paralympic Committee of India for sending a team to Rio, with agreement from the International Paralympic Committee; this arrangement allowed India to compete under their own flag at the 2016 Summer Paralympics.
((Wikinews)) Congratulations on your result.
-
- Deepa Malik: Thank you so much.
((WN)) Even though you are currently waiting in terms of the end result of the protest.
-
- DM: Absolutely, but I’m happy with my performance, I’m happy that I could improve and I could prove myself, there were a lot of questions back home on my selection and on my hard work. My single-minded focus that I had put into this journey of being a Paralympian. Well, I am just so anxious about the results.
((WN)) So how much did the court case and KLM losing your luggage impact on your preparations and your result today?
-
- DM: Yes, but I’m happy that my husband was my coach here, and, so, I had huge moral support in terms of keeping my mind and everything in peace. Most of the equipment was available in the gym, we had to alter the training a bit like the throw days couldn’t happen, so we instead exercised. No, I think that is what sports teaches you, you can’t live on excuses, I never lived on excuses.
((WN)) You work around things.
-
- DM: Yes, that’s what we do, that’s what a sportsman is suppose to do, rise again, and then fall and rise, and run, and I did exactly that.
((WN)) What message should other Indian women take away from your participation and result in Rio?
-
- DM: This is going to be the first female medal that India would have ever won in Paralympics and as it is I’m working aggressively towards transforming this entire concept of empowerment for the women, especially the women in disabilities in my country. So I’m really happy that this medal give my voice more value, more strength, and I’ll be able to impact even more, though on the ninth of September the Prime Minister’s jury has awarded me with the award of Women Transforming India, I’m so happy that within three days of getting that award, I have added another feather to it and proved that yes this journey of ability beyond disability. And not just disability, this is a universal message that if women put their minds to their dreams they can balance it; age, gender, disability, is all a state of mind. If you put your passion and hard work, you can get it, and in the Indian scenario were they say infrastructure is a challenge, women participation that are taboo, religiously and psychologically, disabilities taken as a curse, dependability[?] increases because of lack of infrastructure, well, time to get rid of the excuses. We have to start erasing the excuses and believe your own self and that’s the message I’m carrying with all the activities that I do whether it is car rallying, motorbiking or swimming across a river, every record or every unique activity that I’ve undertaken and just below paralysis has been aimed at changing the stereotypical image of a women and also a women in disability. ?
((WN)) Will you and your daughter both be trying to represent India at the 2020 Games in Tokyo?
-
- DM: I’m very sure about myself, but my daughter, though, she’s a Paralympian, yes, which again was considered a huge taboo in my society that oh my god both the mother and the daughter both have a physical disability, what is going to happen to these two, but we did good and she is working as a youth council representative in the Commonwealth countries, for the Paralympics specially, and her work though her foundation called Wheeling Happiness has earned her the young leader award from the Queen of England, so I guess her focus is now shifting to more on community service and empowering others and not just herself. And she is leaving on first of October to Loughborough to do her PhD doctorate programme in disability sports psychology, I’m very sure Loughborough is going to give her a huge amount of sports [inaudible] but how much time she going to decide to devote to sports and studies is her decision entirely. That’s her dream, her journey.
((WN)) How helpful was the Sports Authority of India in preparing and supporting your Rio ambitions??
-
- DM: I think 100 per cent, because the biggest challenge we have back home is a customised training, or the infrastructure for that matter, so we were given the ability and the funds to train the way we wanted to train, and the funds were huge which were given to us, out accommodation, food, diet, physical therapist, psychologist, trainer, gym, everything was paid for, and customised, you want it and they give it. So I guess this was easy financially this time, because every expenses was taken care of, my husband could also take a sabbatical from his job and join my journey, and having him twenty-four seven and coaching me because he himself is an athlete, and have the best diet and counselling. I think it’s worked wonders, so I give shout out and a huge applaud.
((WN)) How important was it for you to have a carer in Rio?
-
- DM: Yes, again we really have to appreciate the sports authority of India and also Paralympic Committee of India, which is going to start to function post-Rio in India. They were very very quick, they were very very adamant in giving the wheelchair people escorts. And I need help twenty four seven, I’m just below paralysed so it was really huge, emotionally, mentally, psychically training-wise, every way I think the situation was perfect.
((WN)) Thank you for your time.
-
- DM: Thank you.

Why It’s Important To Be An Emotional Man

It’s November again and that is traditionally the time to grow a moustache. Yep, November becomes Movember! Movember is the word wide campaign to raise money for men’s illnesses, especially prostate cancer. The campaign started in Australia and has been running for the last seven years. It’s now a worldwide event. Prostate cancer kills one in ten men in the UK, one man dies every hour of every day. Shocking figures. What makes it worse is that it is a cancer that can be treated if it’s caught early enough. The advice is to have your prostate checked every year if you are a man over fifty. If you have a history of cancer in your family then you should move this forward to your forties. So why don’t men get checked out?
I’m afraid compared to women us blokes are a bit emotionally stunted. We are how we are because of the way in which we were brought up. It’s not our fault. We struggle with emotions because we were taught at an early age that men are strong, do not cry, and work through situations regardless of how we feel about things. Many of us grew up with emotionally remote fathers and had little modeling of doing anything other than “being strong”. Women are complicitous in this message and often support it covertly. This also serves a purpose in work and when times get tough. It can be a very useful behaviour when things are hard and I am not for a minute suggesting that we go around crying and acting out at the slightest provocation. It’s about getting the balance right.
So what does being emotionally limited cost us men?
* We tend to get stuck when situations with high emotions come along. Many men either go to a numb place or we express ourselves using the emotion that we have learnt is safest i.e. anger. This can alienate us from our loved ones and get us into trouble with those around us.
* We tend to ignore worries or niggles until they have built up, so if we are feeling pain or discomfort we don’t go to the doctors and get it checked out, we store it up until we are in agony then find out we have left it too late and done ourselves serious damage. Prostate cancer is a great example of this. We ignore the early symptoms (difficulty passing urine, increased frequency of passing urine, pain when passing urine or maybe blood in the urine) and only get it checked out when we are in great pain and it’s passed into our bones too, and then we die.
* We avoid talking to others about how we feel lest they think we are weak. Our problems mount up and we think that the only way out is to kill ourselves. Men are four times more likely to commit suicide than women in the UK (figures from the office for national statistics).
How can we put the situation right?
There is no doubt that working with a good counsellor is a great way of restoring the balance. Counsellors come in all shapes and sizes and you will find some male therapists that ooze emotions and some women therapists that are very “thinking” in the way they do things. Go meet a few and make your decision based on who you feel comfortable with.
